The Busiest Weekends of the Year
Gold Rush Days, Dahlonega's signature fall festival, draws well over 200,000 visitors to the historic square in a single weekend. The wineries along Highway 52 add their own harvest events on top of that, and lodging across the county books out weeks, sometimes months, ahead of the leaves actually turning.
What That Means for The Woodlands
For mountain hospitality, fall is not just a good season, it is the season: the highest demand and the highest rates of the year, concentrated into a handful of weekends. Right now, that demand runs up against the same limited inventory we have written about before.
Once Phase 2 opens, The Woodlands will be positioned to capture that window directly, with private cabins minutes from the square instead of a chain hotel off the highway.
